Honestly, it was a long day for Zayn.

Yes, the eyes do look like Gigi, but 1) there’s no guarantee that was the original intention, and 2) it looks to me like those eyes are the only part that doesn’t fit very well with the theme he’s got going on his chest now. He’s got bold black and red everywhere else, but the eyes are much softer and grayscale. The eyes are also framed directly in the middle of another pattern, disrupting it, so it honestly feels wrong that they’re there.
My guess is that as soon as he’s able, he’s getting them covered over too. It wouldn’t even be as hard as the last one since this one is light and has no color to work around.
If you want to talk about tattoos, I still have my jaw dropped from Zayn getting Liam’s first solo collab cover tattooed months before it actually came out:

Fans have long speculated about the fact that the tiger tail looks like an L anyway.
That “a” is supposedly the “e” from “Mind of Mine”, but there’s no reason to have that little tail on top unless it doubles as an “a”. It’s not even a good way to make a fancy “e”. It’s just awkward and is confusing if it only serves the purpose of being part of the album title. It’s not like the script is all lined up and easy to read, so the context isn’t there to make up for the fact that the letter looks much more like an upside down “a” when seen in isolation..
Then there’s the obsession with 25 that both Liam and Zayn seem to have for some as-yet-unconfirmed reason. Zayn took it to the next level with a tattoo on his neck:

I got off topic, but yeah. Liam also has a tattoo that everyone attributed to Cheryl but that looks a lot like Zayn’s eyes, and even Louis has that “E” that is ostensibly for Eleanor even though it could easily be for Ernest. It’s not all that odd when it comes to how the 1D boys are bearded. Tattoos can be changed or covered when the time finally comes to get rid of them.
